Titanic & the Making of James Cameron by Paula Parisi

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... ng&x=0&y=0

If you have any interest in deep-sea diving, camera tech, the Titanic film or ship, James Cameron, making movies or all/some of the above, please order that book (second hand for around £2.76 there at the minute) - you won't regret it :D

Seriously... incredibly accessible, ridiculously interesting :geek:

Well up to the usual high standard. Hollywood has trouble coming up with original sci-fi but these guys don't.

I've just started reading 'I Shall Wear Midnight' by Terry Pratchett.
My brother got me a book called Lanark for Christmas but I haven't started that one yet.

Hollywood Hellraisers: The Wild Lives and Fast Times of Marlon Brando, Dennis Hopper, Warren Beatty and Jack Nicholson

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hollywood-Hellr ... 304&sr=1-1

It's quite good (especially if you've got a black sense of humour like me), but is basically a rehash collection of info that's already out there :)

Unfortunately the last two books I mentioned (Hollywood Hellraisers and Chris Ryan's The Increment) got worse as time went on - Hellraisers never focused for long enough on the genuine points of interest, and The Increment... Roll over for non-plot-specific details:

Who the hell starts talking about splits of a second timing and percentages when right in the middle of a stand-off? Before accessing a computer and the net?

That said, I think I'll try one more Ryan book while we've still got a library...

Decoding the IRA

I've always thought that for people so smart and talented, that it was a great shame that they were/are hopeless dreamers...
