I really think they should all have colour coded masks or chest armour or something to distinguish them from each other.

From what I remember of the first two movies the decepticons were darker and had lots of spiky bits, and the autobots were brighter, colourful and rounded/blunt.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Less so in the third film, and probably the second from what I remember.

That's how I remember it as well. But I haven't seen Fallen. I really wanna see Moon in Spanish for gags. If I do, I'll report back.

Quite literally in one scene.

Just watched Captain America in 3D. I'm only vaguely familiar with the character - supersoldier programme, dresses up in US scheme, has a shield which he can throw as a weapon. The rest I'm fairly naive about.
Firstly, the 3D: not much o a headache but then it was only in some places that it was noticeable. You were aware that there was the effect of spatial difference between characters/objects but TBH it was mild and didn't intrude much into the film. Which means it didn't add anything to it either. In one scene, Captain America bounces the shield off another object and it comes flying back at the camera. This was the only time that it was believable and I twitched.
Secondly, boobs. Atwell's character's breasts seem to change in size remarkably between particular scenes. She doesn't seem particularly well-endowed when in uniform. But in other scenes, her chest is a lot larger. This distracted a lot of the scenes in a negative manner. Not only that, if you follow the outline of her breasts, either they are very long and saggy or, more likely, she had padding on her clothes. In fact, looking at her pics she's not as small as I had imagined. She's a 36C. Incidentally, she was born on the same day as me!
Finally (before the spoilers kick in), the suit. It was a much more grittier, darker suit. Less camp and more realistic. I like what they did with the mask, as it felt more natural. The shield was also impressively done IMO as well as its use.
***** S P O I L E R A L E R T *****
Plot: I thought the way Rogers became America was good - I liked the route it had taken. Conversely, the way the baddie generated his weapons was a bit far fetched IMO. In some ways, it reminded me of the Wild Wild West film with Will Smith. But it was good fun. However, there's a montage after CA gets his current suit and it shows him bringing down the baddies. I felt this could have been done better. It looked like scenes had been cut out to save "vital" seconds, which I'd rather they hadn't.
Acting: Better than some of the other recent comic book character stuff. Evans IMO does a good job of showing the weakling to hero morph but still retaining his humanity. Atwell was a bit crap though easy on the eye. Weaving as usual was excellent. I was really impressed by him. Jones was doing his usual military stuff. Nothing outstanding but not particularly bad either.
Extra: Loved the early signs of CA, like when Rogers uses a garbage can lid to defend himself in one scene and the door of a Lone Star cab (with star logo) in another. Action and explosions galore. All good though maybe a tad OTT.
***** END OF S P O I L E R A L E R T *****
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable movie and one that I'd buy on blu-ray. Also, remember to stay until the end of the credits as there is an extra scene. I didn't know this until I looked in wikipedia just now.

Head to the comics thread for an Avengers (Cap, Thor etc in case you're wondering) teaser - it's very brief though

Pleased to hear this. Captain America originally sounded like it was going to be one of the lesser superhero films but the previews looked good. I missed seeing Thor so am hoping to get out and see this one on the big screen.

Ironclad - 8/10 A none-too shabby version of the siege of Rochester. By no means an exacting historical account, it's enjoyable and almost plausible. Good cast, with Kate Mara, James Purefoy , Brian Cox, Jason Flemyng, Charles Dance (who appears to be in everything medieval-y at the moment), Derek Jacobi, Mackenzie Crook and Paul Giamatti. Giamatti is a superb King John, really captures this character and has a great time with some of the dialogue. I put this on when I was dog tired at 1am or something daft, and where I'd usually fall asleep, this film commanded my attention. Worth a look.

Watched a few films since I was last here, so I'll try and cover the main one's in short here:
127 hours Can you turn a man being stuck in a hole into a good movie? Apparently yes, I was actually very pessimistic about this one, but to my surprise I actually watched it all the way through, and enjoyed it. It's not one that you're going to watch over and over again, but if the storyline interests you then it's definitely worth a rental. I personally thought the acting was great, and if you've watched the documentary, it actually follows the real story fairly closely.
On that note though, I would also recommend the documentary of this story. (Will post the youtube video when I find it) 7.5/10
Limitless Loved this film. Loved it. I watched it first at the cinema when it was released and again this week as a rental. Again, I don't want to give too much away. Essentially the main character is given a pill which allows him to "use 100% of his brain." If you can look past the fact that this may not be an accurate assessment of human abilities, the storyline and twists make this film, for me, a must see. 8.5/10
The Social Network Ok ok, so Zuckerberg didn't have anything to do with this film and it may not be 100% factual, but who cares. If you haven't already, watch it. Don't ask questions, just do it and make up your own mind. 8.5/10
Catfish Great film if you can get past the following spoiler: The film claims to be a documentary and is set out as such throughout, except, after some investigation (Googling) turns out it isn't. It's still thought provoking but you stiill feel a little cheated after you know. 7/10

Just seen Sucker Punch.
Fantastic CG settings and animation, coupled with wonderfully choreographed fight scenes and a great sound track - oh and lets not forget hot chicks with guns and swords.
That's the good.
Now for the bad.
Boring dialogue, ropey acting and dreadfully cliched voice-over story telling; not that there is really all that much of a story to tell.
I frikkin loved it.

Ditto-ish. I thought the technical aspects were utterly stunning but they were let down somewhat by the human performances. A couple were good (Carla Gugino was probably the best) but I thought the dialogue was a but flat and the actual fight sequences weren't... dynamic (?) enough. Hard to describe exactly what I mean but it kind of felt like.. when you go through something step by step in a rehearsal, but in the actual film. Which is odd because the same director's fight work in '300' was incredibly skilled.
Overall though I'd say it's a very enjoyable piece of 'popcorn' cinema. Not really going to make you think much, but an admirable way to waste a couple of hours.
