This is interesting...

An Evening with Top Gear

As a prelude to their new series, they're doing a live launch on youtube. There are only a few shows that could possibly make.. humungous amounts of money going online only, and TG is probably one of them. There's another story floating around TG's contract with the beeb runs out in the summer and as of yet no new negotiations are taking place.

Make it what you will.

I'm beginning to come to the conclusion Russell is a bit of a one-trick pony.

Rather an interesting interview heard on the radio a coup,e of years back. It was post Torchwood (the crappy USA one), and it was on Graham Norton's programme. RTD was plugging his post Sarah Jane Adventures series Wizards vs Aliens, and it was very, very evident that he had been sent back in disgrace. Clearly Torchwood which was supposed to be his, and the BBC's, big USA break had backfired spectacularly, and he was sent home with a kid's TV show to kind of run. Torchwood was not mentioned at all, but anyone listening was very aware that he was in some kind of disgrace.

I'd be very surprised if Fox would stump up the cash for both actors to reprise their respective roles if this was to happen.

Sounding promising, apparently. But then who can tell until there's a signature.

The milk crate they used to stand Gillian on is holding out for a six figure deal. Nothing will happen until that's been sorted out.

The trailer at the cinema was awful, but I doubt they got that cast without something worthy.

You and your trailer thing again. I never watch them. Watch the show. If you don't like it don't watch it any more. Simples.

I'm just saying the trailer was rubbish, not that I won't try it! For the record, with films I now watch about 40 seconds of a trailer to get a feel for the film rather than have everything laid out over two and a half minutes. I wouldn't even have known about this show otherwise - every so often advertising actually works with me lol.

I only caught a clip of it during the ads of something I watched last night.

Changing the subject has anyone seen Togetherness? 2 episodes in and it's very funny.

Flash - Still building towards something, but they really need to build up their star; he never feels central for a guy with super speed. And it makes the action scenes totally boring :(

Gotham - Frigging awful. Dialogue so bad in places that the actors visibly have to style it out because it doesn't even sound logical. It can't stop introducing new characters when it's already overloaded either, which makes the above problem even worse. Every plot movement is the result of a coincidence or just some terrible exposition. It has scenes that are purely there to fill time...

Every time I go to quit this show something good happens that gives me hope. That it'll get better once it's done introducing all the backstory, but fcuking hell, it's 12 episodes in and doesn't know if it's a crime drama, horror show, or a comedy. On comedy, in one of the last episodes you were supposed to laugh at the mentally ill. And I mean laugh at people shaking and making faces and so on. Just appalling in this day and age.

Grimm - It's going well, some major plot developments!
