Agent Carter - Really focused so far, three episodes in. No messing about, there isn't a hundred characters all vying for screen time, and it's really funny in places. The lazy way to describe it is a female Bond, but better! My only slight criticism is because it's set in the 40s, you sometimes feel like you're getting battered over the head with the women's lib bit, though at least this is part of the plot too.

There's so many people this would suit on some level who probably don't know it exists! You've got a brilliant female lead, a period setting, a Rocketeer vibe in places, half the cast are English actors for some reason (curious, but good), it's linked to the ongoing Marvel movie/TV universe without you needing to know anything about them, it's perfectly paced... If you had your doubts or anything, give it a go :D

I'm afraid to even start that show it's been going that long. Not that I have the time between the other American stuff and iPlayer

Sky Now's gone here, I no longer pay for Netflix but still receive it ;) , and Prime's only being kept on because of the discount until next year. Can't justify them otherwise with everything else available to me right now.

I have Sky and Netflix but then I have 3 other people on my Netflix account so that is good value.

Agreed, awesome series so far, really looking forward to later episodes.

Hand of God pilot on Prime... This has top character actors, and is directed by Marc Foster. Yet it's still like a bad TV movie. There isn't a likeable person in it, and the characterisation's just so cliched... URGH. Amazon will be greenlighting CCTV next ffs.

David Tennant Set To Play Kilgrave In 'Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones' for Netflix

Don't think I've ever seen Jessica Jones in any of the books (and that's a minor miracle with Marvel).

I'm nonplussed about that and I don't know why :?

Atlantis is axed by the BBC after second series

Quote:
The BBC says it will not be re-commissioning a third series of Atlantis because the corporation says it needs to "keep increasing the range of BBC One drama".

They seemed quite happy to keep Merlin going way beyond its welcome, but I expect that Atlantis was too similar in tone and quality to be different. The problem I have with The Musketeers is that it feels too much like Atlantis and Merlin, and they could have made that work for an earlier time slot without losing anything.

The Beeb seem to struggle to give these shows longevity. It's always felt like they're trying to create the next Doctor Who in terms of crossover appeal between adults and kids. A superhero show is what they need...

I don't think I ever saw the sequels, the original was just OK.

I'm catching up with the old TV show Joan and Melissa.

Joan Rivers was definitely one of a kind and there is never a dull moment. Not sure if I'd have wanted her as my mother or not. Very very funny

In one episode she gets stoned with Melissa's friend and they have to call Melissa to pick them up as neither of them are in a fit state to drive. Melissa puts them both to bed but they get up and end up in the hot tub fully dressed

Suits would appear to have started again for our American cousins - I'm well behind on that show.

BREAKING: CBS’ SUPERGIRL Has Found Its Jimmy Olsen!

I'd rather that than the geeky version from the comics. And as the article states, if there's one thing Arrow and Flash gets right, it's using well-worn characters in interesting ways.

It's the second half of Season 4.

More importantly Season 3 of "The Americans" started the same night.

I watched something quite rare last night........ Two episodes of the Simpsons, neither of which I'd seen before.
