The best part is Marina Sirtis has an English accent. As does Gillian Anderson.

How everybody shooting snowsport and in extreme temps professionally are using "normal" full frame bodies and lenses when Pentax seem to be the only manufacturer to actually rate their bodies to -10

I was shooting at -18C earlier in the year with no particular problems other than battery charge. Left the house on 80% available charge and it had dropped to 40% when I started using it. Spare batteries, fully charged and kept somewhere warm are the way around that problem.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I've got a nightmare day tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it what so ever. 2 students today, all well and good, but it did take longer than expected to complete the confined water exercises. Tomorrow I'll have 4 students, as I have 2 referalls joining my class. I have no idea how well they've been taught and will only really find out when we're in the water. Of my 4 students tomorrow, 3 of them have partners tagging along. These are already certified divers, but it complicates things no end, and again I have no idea of their experience and ability in the water. So I'm now up to 7 divers under my responsibility with regards to instruction, supervision and 5* service. Now the internet is a wonderful thing, and I've been able to check up on one of my unknown students. However as they claim in a blog to have ADD perhaps the internet is not so good afterall.

The internet's a nightmare, but you've enough experience to sort the wheat from the chaff in the water. The problem is, how do you break it to the other halves

Having a student who has been coerced into doing a dive course by their other half is one of an instructors worst nightmares, and I have 3 of them.

I go to Sardinia in 10 days time. Booked it 6 months ago but it feels so much longer than that.

The person I was playing HL2 DM against - I presume that was his server. He had me down about 10 kills, but then I rallied and came back with 4 in succession... and I'm kicked and banned.

I've just seen when the new Doctor Who starts. I'm not here for the first 2 episodes.

My dad.
We still have a VCR, but we never record on it. It's great for buying childrens tapes for 10p each and entertainng our son.

I will be recording them (PVR) so we'll have something to distract us from dirty holiday laundry It is one of a few shows that both my wife and I like. My parents still have a VCR but they don't use it. The ariel runs through it or something like that so it's more hassle to remove it than to keep it there.
