It is 23:40 and I am at work. The other guy with me is p!55ing me off, he asks moronic question after moronic question, doesn't do anything without being told and generally lacks initiative and enthusiasm. When he's not asking questions he's telling me how much he hates this job and how much he wishes he took a different job, but he'd best stick with this one for at least three months...
On top of that, we've had a unit come in with a SPAD (Signal Passed At Danger), thus there is a shed load of tests to run on it before the morning comes...
I slept all day and didn't get things done that needed doing and I've seen Faye awake for about four hours this week...
I'm tired and I want to go home.
</rant>
Sorry, just needed to get stuff off my chest

To be honest, I haven't done any serious psychologising in about 10 years anyway Well, true. Anyone can call themselves a 'therapist', requires no qualifications whatsoever. Equally true of 'psychotherapist'. If you want to call yourself a 'psychiatrist' that actually requires a psychology degree plus a couple of years of postgraduate (effectively) medical training. A 'shrink' is... well, anyone with a couch and a clipboard frankly . Didi I ever mention my GP used to be a Dr. Crank? I seem to remember he's generally referred to as 'Dr. Frazier Crane', so I suspect the character is supposed to be highly qualified. Doesn't stop him getting into many hilarious psychology-related scrapes of course.

What and who do you want to ask? Maybe some people are not on forum because they don't like forumites

Why not? Well, true. Anyone can call themselves a 'therapist', requires no qualifications whatsoever. Equally true of 'psychotherapist'. If you want to call yourself a 'psychiatrist' that actually requires a psychology degree plus a couple of years of postgraduate (effectively) medical training. I seem to remember he's generally referred to as 'Dr. Frazier Crane', so I suspect the character is supposed to be highly qualified. Doesn't stop him getting into many hilarious psychology-related scrapes of course.[/quote] Counselling is becoming regulated now, so you can't just call yourself a therapist any more. Also, I was under the impression that psychiatry involved a medical degree prior to the "mind" component post-grad...? Part of the appeal of psychology for me, is the lack of a medical component.
