Morning all

Interesting start to the day.

Turned up to work to find the smoke alarms blaring.
Some sort of boiler problem, but we didn't have the key to the fire detection system.
A quick flick of the power & removal of the battery stopped the noise but we're looking like we'll need an engineer to look at it.

ION I'm heading over to the aquatics shop to buy fish for the work tank

Looks like another fun packed day ahead.

Must remember to book some days off work.

Morning.

The cats have started mithering at sparrow's fart. I'm looking forward to 4am alarm calls soon. Not.

Still waiting for a big brown van to deliver my new toy. The waiting is beginning to fray my nerves. I really hope it's worth the wait.

Onwards and sideways.

'lo.

I've seen two mentions of flatulent sparrows on here this morning, in different contexts. Is this normal?

Morning all.

Well that was disappointing. A contractor for the council has just been round to see if I can get free loft insulation. Unfortunately there is already sufficient insulation up there.
Given how quickly this house cools down this came as a bit of a surprise. I dread to think what it would be like if there wasn't any insulation up there

Ah well, onwards and sideways I guess.

Have a great day folks.

After a 5:30am wake up call from the emergency support phone & dealing with idiots who forgot a password.
I get to the office to find it locked and I don't have keys (it's a new office so we're waiting for more keys @£25 each, there's 3 keys per person needed).
So a quick breakfast out and I managed to get in.

Now time for more coffee and dealings with more idiots

'lo. I gave my presentation this morning. I detailed the wonderful techniques Erlang uses for concurrency, I showed how it can hot-swap live code and how the message-passing systems work. The only question I got was to explain right recursion. Bah! That's what you get when your audience turns out to be 5 Mathmoes.

Morning all.

Lovely day - a bit windy but bright and dry, which is good enough.

Spent several hours rebuilding and testing my wc loop last night. Looking pretty good, with white opaque uv feser tubing. well, it would do if my one and only inverter block for the uv cold cathode didn't fritz out.

Onwards and upwards.

Have a good one.
