Is it out in paperback yet? I've pre-ordered it on amazon (sorry Heather!)
I hope it's better than matter.

I'm trying to get my teeth into a free e-book copy of Darwin's On the Origin of Species. While the text is surprisingly well-written, and not quite as heavy as I have imagined Victorian prose might be, reading on a screen is not working for me. I fear the book won't get my full attention until I acquire a tablet of some kind.

I've recently discovered Dale Brown, former US Air Force officer. I've read the first books about each of two heroes and I'm hooked. They may not be literary masterpieces, but they are excellent thrillers.

I've finally got my hands on the second book in the kingkiller chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss "The Wise Mans Fear" and it's (so far) every bit as good as the first book "The Name of the Wind" and I hate having to put it down because I'm so caught up in the story.

The Futurist book may have to wait, maybe. Got The Fry Chronicles from the library, but you kinda need to be in the right mood... The guy can go on for pages about sweets alone

I'm part way through that at the moment. Love it to bits, in particular the writing style, but finding the talk of Cambridge a little painful (I applied to St Johns College but was turned down on account of my unbridled laziness). Definite sense of remorse whilst reading it.

I'm at the bit where he's talking about quitting pipe smoking - I had never seen a decent description of what kick people get from tobacco so I was actually properly interested in that bit, where I'm struggling a little with the sheer amount of detail elsewhere sometimes

I'm wanting Mark Billingham - From The Dead. At the moment though I'm still working my way through Crime and Punishment. I'd started it then not read in a while but I'm back on it again now.
