The main PC has started shutting down, due to "thermal events". Looks like a complete re-build is in order. Great. I haven't got enough to do already.

I have a plan... I'm expecting the parts, (or the money to buy the parts) for my new PC soon. When I get that, I'll build the new PC and get Brooke to rebuild the old one. She built her own PC last year, when she was 11 years old, (aside from the heatsink, which I did) but I'll let her have a go this time. I think she'll like the challenge.

Show her how to properly clean the heatsinks/dedust the case while you're at it. The maintenance will be good for the life of the parts and also noise/heat considerations :)

Ever time my parents have had an issue with theirs it's down to it being caked in dust so the fan has a hard time cooling the cpu down

Yeah, I will do. I'm planning on showing her how to take it apart, clean it and rebuild it from scratch.

*note to self* must remember to get another anti-static wrist strap.

We have something like 20 free/empty appointment slots today. No doubt they'll fill up gradually over the course of the day. My next appointment (and the only remaining one for the morning) is in 40 mins.

Which world cup player are you?

Quote:
If you were a World Cup player you'd be Andrea Pirlo. Refined, intelligent and incredibly classy. And even though you pretend to be modest you're actually well aware that you're well liked and play up to it. I mean, look at your outfit. Nice.

Awesome.

If you were a World Cup player you'd be Clint Dempsey. You're pumped! Hell yeah! You love soccer and you love life. So much so that you often want to sing about it. That's no bad thing though

Really?
