Customer: Your software is running slow - fix it!
Me: It might have something to do with the 13% packet loss on YOUR server

That's correct - 13%

Was that the reason it sank? Heavy load?

It would appear that the Student Loans company have offloaded a load of old loans to a third party called Erudio Student Loans Ltd (ESL Ltd). However, they apparently have not told these people about deferments.

I received a letter from SLC confirming that my loan repayments had been deferred from a year on the 7th of March but this doesn't seem to have stopped ESL. This morning there is a DD payment taken from my bank account from ESL and it would appear that I'm not alone going by the Money Saving Expert forums either. I hope this is just them confirming that the payment details are correct but I suspect a phone call to some God awful call centre is required.

This might interest Bratty. Farmers found a huge WW1 explosive device full of Poison gas (Chlorine) was unearthed back home. Police had to close the main A roads for several hours while defusing it.

Went to EE and switched to a tariff that was two thirds cheaper. Except I left the sim in my sister's purse and now have an ipod touch instead of an iphone!

Both of my parents, my elder brother, myself and my younger brother all received polling cards one year with the surname misspelt.

They were all spelt incorrectly and none of the names were spelt the same as any of the others.

Major fail, reporting for duty!  :etc:
