Depending on which jacket/coat I have on, I will try and carry the phone in an inside pocket. Failing that, trouser/jean front pocket only. Never used the rear pockets and never had issues. Then again, all of my smartphones have been in protective cases such as Otterbox.

Front trouser pocket 99% of the time. If I go to a wedding or something, inside jacket pocket.

My old Samsung X820 snapped when a trolley dolly hit my pocket with the refreshment trolley. That phone was badly designed though. It was just too thin to have any real strength.

If you have a decent size bum and don't wear jeans that are too tight, trouser pocket is a safe place

Handbag or jacket pocket, or if not wearing a jacket, then my shirt pocket.

Hate putting my phone in my shirt pocket. As much as anything, the damn thing nearly always falls out when bending over.
Combat trousers are good for keeping phones in pockets, and of course jackets.

It would appear that the 'k' on my keyboard has died (this is being typed by the power of auto-correct and backspace).
Better dig out the spare one.
