It seems to only affect people from the same time line.
In "The Crash of the Bizantium" Amy remembered that the soldiers had disappeared into the light but the other soldiers didn't know who or what she was talking about.
I suppose that way the Doctor wouldn't be affected by it at all but Amy and Rory were from the same time line and so Amy can't remember Rory.

I don't really remember what happened to the daleks at the time, so i don't really see how it ties in. they got trapped in a parallel dimension?

I think it was the fact that Amy couldn't remember that they had invaded London and were flying over the cities in their thousands.
It was the story from a few series ago with David Tennant and Billie I think?!
People should still remember that happening but somehow they don't.

She didn’t remember the whole TARDIS towing planet Earth back from the Crucible where Davros was doing “badness”. I’m still convinced that my theory that we are seeing two Doctors - one on each side of the crack - can hold water. You will notice a lot of bow tie interest in the last episode - almost bordering on clumsy. Noticed that the Doctor’s tie changes colour from time to time? No? Ah… I think that Moffat has a very intricate and subtle plot going on here. I am STILL not convinced that we are experiencing the Doctor’s adventures in the correct order, even though we ARE keeping pace with Amy’s experience of the time line. Or is it the other way round? Next few episodes should start to draw the threads together.

What a cliffhanger. See what we've been denied by RTD now? What now? What now…

Did anyone else expect the Pandorica to be a prison for the Doctor? Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the episode, and I like how all the events seem to stem from Amy's life, It just seemed a bit predictable that the Pandorica was designed to hold the Doctor. I think maybe they gave too much away in the dialogue - with the Doctor talking about "if this thing is so dangerous, why haven't I heard of it" etc.. Still, it was a cracker, and I can't wait for the next epsiode.

Nope. I think it's designed to keep The Doctor safe while everything else gets destroyed, that way there's alway The Doctor to put things right. I guess we'll know this time next week. Mark

I thought an alternate universe Doctor was going to emerge. Great episode, though. It's about time.
