Stupid TV Licensing people harrasing me, my flat is not under investigation for not having a TV license, even though I've not only phoned them saying I don't have a TV nor do I watch programs as they're being broadcast, I've even filled out the online declaration, I think the only time I watched TV (whilst I've been at Uni) as it's being aired was watching the Inbetweeners Monday, and that was at the SU.

How come they know when you don't have a license and know when you've watched TV in some form, but they can't do the reverse?!

Now there's a question.

Your best bet is here somewhere, probably.

Err.. How can they legally sell you a ticket for a specific journey that isn't valid?

my question exactly. I printed out the webpage showing the offer, and I do believe it's a joke.

Train companies get on my tits. I pay £180 a month for the honour of travelling on over crowded, dirty and smelly trains. It should be going down by £50 a month soon. Yay more wine for me.

Just been given my Notice to Quit by my landlord, who wants to move into my home because he is getting old. I need to be out by 31st December 2010.

2 months notice? What a time. Jeez, if I was a Landlord I just couldn't live with myself doing something like that, I'd even rent a place myself and say maybe 31st January but a week after Christmas?!?!?

Bugger.

He has a big house up the road only 100 yards away, but it is clearly getting too much for him. I am only just coming out of deep depression caused by PTSD and have spent the last year basically trying to catch up with my life and now this. I was starting to get ready for a move because of the benefit changes. Well the landlords agents are happy to give me a reference and even see if they have any thing available. I have been here 5 years so cannot be that bad a tenant. Problem is no one else will be moving over that period

Could be worse. When I was renting either party (us or the landload) only had to give the other party one months notice.
