I think it's a symptom rather than a cause. It's just pandering to the lowest common denominator.

I mean, it's not even interesting to watch. Why does someone think I'm going to be interested in watching a bunch of nobodies sitting around a pool, or eating, or sleeping?

I watched this last night and I have to say that I like only 3 of the housemates.

The Iranian dude with the long hair and funky dress sense Siavash is bloody brilliant., I can see him as the wise out of the lot.

If you were to open a dictionary and look up the word ‘cool’, Siavash would have you believe there would be a little photo of him waving back at you. We think it’ll be up to you to decide, but there’s no harm in giving you a few facts. He’s absolutely obsessed with fashion and it is obviously a huge part of his life, though where the money comes from he can’t quite say. Siavash says he can’t really describe what he does for a living, but he always has money in the bank. Maybe he’s a politician? Whatever he does, he doesn’t worry about money as he is sure he’ll be a millionaire in 10 years. So, the bad bits? Well, if a girl doesn’t succumb to his, erm, charms, he’ll move on to the next one. Oh, and he blows bubbles with his spit. That must look so attractive while he’s out at dinner. He also says that fat people and ugly people make him angry. Sounds like a complex character…

What's even better is the fact that when I did have the misfortune to feel like lingering on one of these broadcasts from time to time, their voices were sometimes muted- I guess because they were discussing something controversial. I would stay long enough to think "WTF?" and roll my eyes and it was time to move on.

Beinazir has become the first person to be evicted from Big Brother 10 - without ever becoming a real housemate.

After Angel, Marcus, Sophia and Sree were saved by the public and turned into housemates, Siavash and Beinazir waited at the bus stop alone.

"No hard feelings, Davina," shouted Siavash, adding, "It's getting boring now." Beinazir was silent.

Davina spoke to the House one last time. "Beinazir and Siavash, the votes have been counted and verified and I can now reveal that the final non-housemate to become a housemate is... Siavash."

"I am so sorry. I am so sorry," Siavash told Beinazir.

"Don't be sorry! I'm fine man, I'm fine!" Beinazir reassured him, smiling as the other housemates ran out to hug her.

They all then gathered at the front door to cheer her out. "Take care mate! See you later darling," shouted Charlie as the evictee walked up the stairs to the exit - where there was no crowd waiting.
