Cod liver oil should help with that

Only you know what's right in your case. Here's brief summary of my 3 Internet meetings, which were all very different:
1. We chatted on an animé site for a couple of months, nothing romantic at all since I didn't even know what gender they were to start with, then I got my MSN account specifically to talk to her and we chatted for a few more months on that until we were spending a couple of hours every night just chatting. Next we agreed to meet up, and then we exchanged pictures. I booked a flight and a hotel, and we met at a Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam - both of us with chaperones. We did the museums and then watched LOTR which was fun, being partly in Elvish with Dutch subtitles. We continued to chat every night and met up as often as possible for a few years, until she dumped me.
2. We exchanged a few conversations on a dating forum, which very quickly led to video chat on MSN. A week later we met at a hotel oop north and did a tour of the town with very nice meals on both days, and the week after that she accidentally moved in with me. We got engaged a few weeks later and her cat moved in too, but it only lasted a year. The cat lasted a while longer lol. A lot of you know the girl in question because she was quite active on the Dennis meeting place as Feeona.
3. I think this is probably the most "normal" one: I received a message from a woman on OKcupid and replied. We exchanged a couple of emails, but she wasn't very good with computer type stuff so we met up for a date in London. She was an hour late because of the tube, I was an hour early and very hungry. We had a really good time doing a market with exotic foods and whisky, then sushi, ice cream a few pubs and finally dim sum in China town. I got the last train home, and we arranged a few more dates until we were spending every weekend together. After six months we had a massive fight and now she's left the country.

Just playing catch-up Foggy. Sounds like you're onto something so good luck!!
My situation is by no means the norm but it goes to show the possibilities. I met Mr Red on OKCupid, that fateful evening I came online just as he was about to log-off. He IM'd me straight away on the OKChat function (which is rubbish) then we moved to MSN for a couple of hours, then we exchanged phone numbers and he called me. We talked until nearly 6am when he had to grab a bath and head to work (it was just before xmas, a very busy time in the hotel industry.)
We exchanged texts for a few days and then met up for the first time for New Years Eve at a pub in a village between our two houses (he was in Stratford-upon-Avon and I was in Swindon) and spent the whole evening together. We got on like a house on fire and I went back to his house that night. We spent the New Years weekend at his house, "getting to know each other" much better and then I just never really moved out again. That was New Years 2007/2008, I moved in permanently in the July of 2008 and it's been blissful happiness ever since.
I've known a few people who have met partners over the internet, I don't understand the stigma since I know some people who are much happier communicating honestly via a faceless screen, my fella is one of them and I reckon we got to know each other far better chatting on t'internet before we ever met face-to-face.

Agreed, but it is actually quite easy to count them, as long as you have a shotgun... Edit to add: Zippy's back! Hello stranger, how's tricks?

Hi there. Tricks is fine thanks. RL got in the way of online life for a while and I had to go away to readjust my ability to cope with 2D communication, but I think I'm sorted now. I was half expecting a smutty comment about how 'easy' I must be, I'm a little disappointed J_V

Not at all... sometimes two people meet and they "just click". I know this through personal experience, as it happened to me almost 11 years ago. Grabbing a bath doesn't necessarily mean he actually picked it up... I do agree with the awesome remark though.
