Good Luck Bish, as an Ex production manager who took a side step to Technical manager as my engineering back ground was required to move the company forward in medical converting technology (and it gets me out and about lol) I can safely say its hard work but very rewarding if done right and the only tip I would give you in the interview is to give out positivity vibes and don’t get flustered as both are key elements to a good PM.

Good luck with that then! There's never any harm in interviewing for anything. You never know what'll happen.

Thanks guys. I know it's going to be hard work, and I'm lookinf forward to having something a bit of a challenge. I like that about the job. Working where I do now is like, "Did you turn it off?" "Have you restarted to see if the problem persists?" Answers are always "no" and I have to sit through it and explain, or to the close to omeebas of the group, I just go up and sort it out *cough*Customer Services*cough*. That's pretty much day in and day out. Need something more challenging you know? If it don't pull off, I'm still coming back to work on the Monday so it's no loss, you know.

I think that's a really good attitude to take into the interview, too. It might make you nice and relaxed. Relaxed + assertive&confident = win. Good luck Bish.

Agreed. The interviews that I tend to pass with flying colours are for jobs that I have applied for whilst still sorking elsewhere. i.e. I don't absolutely NEED to get the job because if I don't I will have no money (if that makes sense). Prob because I have been more relaxed about them. Good luck!

I'm geniunely impressed! I didn't mean that you were like the Apprentice people, and it seems you're not. It's just easy to be viewed like that when you're younger. Well done you!!!! Please keep us informed, I hope you get it.

I've had a bit of a dent today with this new job.
Found out that the Clinical nurses and Advisor are going for this job.
It's kinda kicked me in the kidneys but, like I said before, I've still got a job to come back to right.
I just need to show them that I CAN do this, and WANT to do it.

Don't lose hope. You always have a chance and sometimes it'll be in your control and sometimes it won't. Either way, continue to believe and work hard to acheive your goals. You'll get there. Fact.

UPDATE! The clinical advisor WAS NOT short-listed for the job. He was getting made redundant and they obviously want rid of him. So as it stands. Me, and 2 territory field sales people. I rekon im standing a chance again!

I think this sums you all up. You are 19 and you think you know it all. This is a very dangerous thing for you to assume. One example: You say you written skills are good but even I with English as a second language can see that it is not the case, especially when it comes to spelling. You also seem to lack "people skills". Just look at your reply to Dogbert's post. I don't think that was the right way to react to what he wrote, it seems to me you took it as a personal attack on you while he was trying to point out factors why ANYBODY might not get a job. Now, I am not saying do not go for that job. All I'm saying is don't assume that you know it all and don't get so defensive about things. And reading your posts I can tell you that your age shows, big time. Now lets see if you're going to crucify me for my honesty...

Honestly koli, if you have been Reading like you said you have then you'll see that I've said in this thread and many other threads before. Your opinion is your opinion. I'm not going to crucify you because I'm not like that and if you think that I was reacting to dogberts comment in a negative way, then you are wrong. I'm not an angry or abrupt person at all. I'm straight to the point. If that's reacting in a bad way then hell I'll just let people walk all over me in future! (Y) I said I have good written skills, not excellent. If I meant to say I had excellent written skills, then I would have said so. Perhaps my spelling isn't the greatest, but that's why we have spell check, and is why documents are drafted first. I don't think that I know it all, because I sure as hell don't. And being mature in a work enviroment, being able to make decisions and take it on the head if the decision I made goes tits up, shows I have a mature attitude. While I'm here on this forum I like to let loose because I'm not in a work enviroment. As for going for the job, I still am. I know myself well enough to point out my key skills and I will do so. If I don't get this job it's not the end of the world for me so it's a win/win situation. Just to wrap this up, thanks for your input. I'll take it on the chin.
