I hear good things about the hyundai i10 and the skoda yeti. One chap I know has a Golf GTI which he keeps as a weekend car. With the saving he makes from not having it as a daily driver, he was able to afford an i10 - including running costs.

Is this the photo before. You have taken it to a disused airfield and are planning to blow it up like Top Gear? ;)

So, buy yourself a Camaro. It'll make you smile every time you drive it. I find it hard to begrudge it the money I spend. :)

Great concept, but I get plenty of smiles from my baby. That said, I totally wouldn't rule out something big, black and thirsty in the future ;)

If I have a helium-filled right foot, and change gear at the right time, I can average about 45mpg. I'm currently doing a three-tank average count, so I'll be able to give more accurate figures in a week or so.

That seems pretty heavy for a 1.1, I get 45mpg out of my 1.9 diesel just running about to and from work etc..

It's unfair to compare a diesel to a petrol. One litre of diesel contains 38.6 megajoules compared to 34 for petrol.

O/T H2 only contains 5.6 which is why it's so cumbersome.

The primary factor in fuel efficiency is not engine capacity. It's the type of journey, the weight of the car and the style of driving.

Quite.

Right now, I'd like something with a softer seat and a bit less jiggly over the potholes.

Custom dent in the rear door?

Please tell me you haven't fitted spinners to the wheels.
