flying is amazing, jumping out of a plane at 15'000 feet is even more amazing!
landing is a bit awkward though.

Well, I've been and come back :D

Flying was amazing, I especially enjoyed the turbulence. Apparently for the flight out the the first hour and a half I had my face pressed up against the window...

Venice was also very nice. We must have walked somewhere around 30 miles across three days just wandering around, my legs ache so much!
It was wonderfully clean and the food was excellent. Going to Rialto market in the mornings to buy fresh fruit for breakfast was really nice.
The only downside for me, and the heat did make me somewhat less tolerant at times, was the the general population in the streets were generally quite rude and didn't have a clue about personal space. I lost count of how many people walked across the stream of 'traffic' (pedestrians) and bumped into me without so much acknowledging it...And they have absolutely no idea how to form any sort of orderly queue...Having said that people in commercial positions (hotel staff, shop keepers, waiters, etc.) were incredibly friendly and very accommodating given my hotchpotch of broken phrasebook Italian...

Overall a great time was had and I'd do it all over again :D

Really pleased to hear it! The more people travel, the better off the world is IMHO.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Only with excellent timing during take off or descent. Usually you're much higher than that. [/pedant]

It's bad enough using the toilets for normal functions let alone anything else lol

I was on a Virgin Atlantic A340 several years back that had a diabled toilet on board. Plenty of room for everything, just a shame that I was travelling alone.

Depends what you're flying on. The bogs at the back of Boeing 777's are very roomy. Most others are terrible though.
