Yeah. Pretty much everything. They move my stuff over. Put me up in a hotel for two weeks and help me find somewhere to live. Then give me money to buy stuff for the new place.

It's awesome. More companies should be like this.

That was standard practice in the UK when I was working there. Also if a company moved you from one area to another, they would often buy your old house at market rates and sell it for you and if they moved you to a more expensive area, they would subsidise the purchase price, so that you ended up with a house of the same size in the new area.

One friend of mine was moved from the North to South to North to South and he managed to go from a 2 bed house in the North West to a 5 bed house in Surrey after the company had finished moving him around.

When I was relocated by my old company they paid
- All legal and estate agents fees for the selling of my old house and buying a new one
- all removal costs
- £5K for incidental exp (to cover new white goods etc)
- 5 or so extra days leave to look for houses etc

by the end of the move I was a new £k up

OK, so all we need to do is find a half African, half Chinese, half Asian, gay, one eyed, wheelchair bound dwarf with tourettes and a lisp, and a st st stutter and we could make the best panel show ever.
