Apples's store is shifting a lot of applications.

They have just announced their Two Billionth Download It has taken them just over a year.

so 50 million devices 2 billion downloads 2,000,000,000 /50,000,000 = 40 per device on average.

I wonder how the number of downloads per device sold compares to other platforms with app. stores?

Are you including all the iPod Touches in that number?

I've also deleted a good number of applications on mine.

I think St Jobs said that if they were to count the updates then the number of downloads could be tripled. Though I may be misremembering.

Sorry Dave I read straight past this post last time.

At the iTunes event they announced 30 million iPhones and 20 million iPod Touches had been sold.
