There was an old C64 game I really liked Interdictor Pilot. I would spend hours playing that.

I used to love High Octane on the PC (DOS - VGA resolution)
Although not too old I'd like a new Need For Speed: Underground 2. I loved the customisation from bodykits to neons and sub woofers and the fact it wasnt a 'serious' racing game. Each new NFS seems to restict customisation to a set bodykit and a bit of paint and take the racing far too seriously. I didnt even bother with NFS Shift tbh.
I say bring back wide bodykits, neons, massive wheels, over the top paint jobs, hydraulic suspension and lambo doors!

Jetstrike (Amiga & CD32 I think) I LOVED this game. This and this show the gameplay. I loved the amount of different planes and helicopters you could pick to do a mission. Super Off Road (Arcade) Super Skid Marks (Amiga)

Yay! Someone else who has played it I don't think I ever finished it I played it hundreds of times though. I think you had to save his brother or something. I know there was a Good - Evil ometer and you had to get it to the good side. This is the only link I can find... http://www.numberoneretro.com/shop/prod ... gie_buggy/

It had some very smooth and fast sideways scrolling IIRC. I think they did some very deep video manipulation. The Archimedes, like the BBC, were very screen friendly, and you could do things like change the sync of the display, which is probably what was going on here. I never finished Boogie Buggy either.
