Yeah, but he's only going for one day, and if he's including travel time there and back... ;)

Still enough time for him to get into trouble. :D
:-D

I think the best bit of advice is: If somebody picks a fight with you, point at some random bloke and say (In a very thick Scottish accent) "I think you'll find he's from England"

This should save you. ;-)

well I must say im VERY impressed, I assumed Belfast was going to be a dump but its really nice 8-) sunny weather, amazing drunk accents which are really funny to listen to! and the Irish here seem to be that little bit prettier than Scots.

I got in trouble by security at the airport for taking pics of the planes so had to delete the pics but I got recovery software so I got all the deleted pics back 8-)

great country, great people shame I didnt have too much time to explore as belfast seems massive! and I saw an actual Irish armoured riot land rover vehicle (always wanted to see one of them ;) )

atmosphere of Northern Ireland makes me feel as though im in newcastle or somewhere in England similar "feel" :)

france next on the agenda

Well Newcastle is full of Irish and Northern Irish students, thankfully not for much longer, reclaim the city in a month :D

Seriously? That's so lame - loads of people want to shoot planes at airports. Even I've got a few shots from various trips, although needless to say they're rubbish - and on film so I cba to scan them in.

There are usually signs about no photography at passport control, but there's usually a viewing gallery of sorts specifically so you can get a good view of the planes coming in and out. I used to absolutely love it when I was a kid, and even now I still get a bit of a kick out of watching them.

Bratty if there's one thing the main two communities in Northern Ireland :P can agree on, it's that the vehicle you saw would be better described as 'British'* ;)

* I'm assuming it was one of these:

Used to look like this, but the colour was deemed a bit militaristic for the peace process era:

Now they don't want you at the airport unless you are travelling or dropping someone off. :x

I'm not actually sure they can demand you delete images, if the law is anything to go by.

:?

Correct. They need a court order for that.

Hint - if photographing in contentious areas, have a WiFi enabled card in your camera and a MiFi dongle. The card should upload pictures you a remote server automatically for you. You can delete them all you want off the card, but your remote server will have copies.

I think file recovery is just as easy and far cheaper.

I was just trying to work out how long it would take 100 15MB RAW images to upload to the cloud...
