I just bought a rice cooker in Asda for £15. Why were they so expensive when I was at college!? Although I doubt it will last a life time for that price; time will tell.
I have cooked the rice. I have poked the rice. I have eaten the rice. The rice was good.
I used the really cheap American long grain, and this is probably the best it's ever tasted so that's a win.
Double win - it's so easy to clean it barely even needs a look at! If I was at college still, it could probably go a whole term never being washed up - the excuse being to preserve the non-stick coating

It takes 6 cups at full load - I just did 2 because any less looked silly. This means I have rice left over. It's keeping warm at the moment but I should probably do something about it before I go to bed
