Paul, you should've done something like this for the announcement. (8+) Mark

I will do, thanks. We have to clear a room and get it ready. At the moment it’s a hobby/craft room, but that’s going to have to change. Hobby stuff will have to take place elsewhere. I think we’ll be getting donations of kit from family (parents kept stuff - just in case). I’m hoping there is a pram - I don’t like the idea of buggies where the passenger is at car exhaust height. I’ve spoken to my sister who is now trying to get used to the idea of being an aunt. My grandma (who is doing fine now after last year’s accident) is getting a buzz from the idea of being a great grandmother. Both sides of the family are really keen on the idea, which should be expected, but its great to know for real. Anyway - I’ve lots to think about, and much which I must not get distracted from too. Lummy…

LOL, I suspect a cardboard box in the attic will be fine since you won't have any time now Congratulations. I'm sure you'll manage to bring them up just fine, and I expect to see them posting here soon

Congratulations to both of you. Hope all goes well and the kid doesn't turn out like me.

Thanks all. One set of grandparents is already plotting a train set - regardless of whether it’s a girl or boy. That will suit me fine

I had to watch this with the sound turned off as I am at "work" but I'll watch it again tonight. Thanks for the link Mark, that's brilliant!

Don't forget Lego! Don't worry, you can still make cool stuff with Duplo too

Unfortunately, a four year wait on that. I suppose that's why Ernie was talking about Duplo.

Yip, though the nephew enjoyed some of the model sets I built up for him

Yes but you can have four years trying out models while you wait for the kid to grow up.

I decided I wanted kids the minute I found out you can buy massive buckets of Lego for not much money. Wish my parents had known that. I had to build my entire collection out of individual models, which was very expensive.
