I've deleted all my pages, and all my personal information (jobs, school etc) so they can't give it away. I regularly check that my security setting are tight.

Meh. I think I have a very secure FB experience. I never joined it in the first place.
Still the best policy IMHO, but not much use for those already ensnared.

I have been remarkably minimalistic. No added photos, only my Swedish family as contacts, no groups joined and even my best friend has not been added.

Ah, I see they've started to allow you to control those again. To late now though. I can't be bothered to type them all in again.

Thanks big_D, I had a waste of time account not linked to me directly but it was still a waste of space. I only set it up to find some people and only used it a few times, but the people I want to be in contact with I am anyway so there's no need.

Just in case anyone thought I'd "unfriended" them, I haven't. I don't hate you, I hate Facebook. I guess I just don't "get it" but every time I try and have fun there, I end up having a massive argument instead. I've now managed to end a relationship over an argument about a status update
