Is this the 21st century equivalent of knowing where your towel is?

I admit I did think that after I posted the question.

I'm very impressed. Apparently most people have them and quite a few people have used one very recently!

I thought it was a slightly obscure thing to need, but it appears I thought incorrectly. There must be more Allen keys than people

For anyone that enjoys reading about a good screw, there's a wealth of information about Robertson and hex socket screws, and how they came about over at the wiki page.

I'll get me overalls.

I have several sets.

In my archery bag I have a set just containing the required sizes.

In my toolbox I have a metric and an imperial set, as well as a set of bits for hex and security-type heads. And then there's the odds and ends kept in various places. I just have to hope I have a suitable odd one in the drawer next to my sofa, as my moved my toolbox back to Rugby last weekend as a temporary measure during The Big Move (A Logistical Nightmare) TM, and I still need to dismantle a bar-stool in my kitchen. I feel like a right fool now.

I also have towels at my flat in Farnborough, when really I meant to take all but one of them to Bath this weekend, so I don't have to add them to the pile of stuff to lug there next weekend via Heathrow.

This thread seems to be entirely about highlighting failures on my part in relation to The Big Move (A Logistical Nightmare) TM. Great.

I have many allen keys, screwdrivers and lots of other tools which I rarely use and I know where they are.

All mine are in my toolbox. I could find them with a minute or so.
