I know what you mean, a firewire connected video camera caused no end of trouble when I was trying to use it with one of school's Macbooks. At home, I avoid using firewire be it on Mac or PC.

Anyway guys, can we get back on topic? For those of you who have forgotten, it was about an external HDD from Tesco :lol: :D ;) :roll: :ugeek:. I think it's a good price but I don't know if I can justify it.

I'm with you there, I was thinking about buying two for external backups on my server, but I'm going to throw caution to the wind and stay without until September time when hopefully they will be cheaper still...(I'm relatively protected with mirroring and hourly snapshots).
