Got half way through the second episode on iPlayer and shut it off. I was tired, but it just wasn't as snappy as the first somehow :?

I'll finish it anyway tonight and hopefully get started on the final ep too - the show definitely has promise as a great ongoing series :)

I liked it - I’ve not read any of the books, so I don’t have any prejudices about the characters, nor do I feel overly protective of the original works either. It felt like an older style of TV - the kind where characters seem to be motivated by though processes, not the need to get to a location within a certain amount of time.

I am hoping for more too.

I'm surprised you've not read any of the original books.

Was it just me, or was Moriarty the campest villian you've ever seen?!!
That spoilt it for me, it was just far too over the top. That, and the slapstick fight scene.
It was going so well up until that point. Bit of a rubbish way to end the series too, guess they'll have to make some more now.

Exactly! I thought he looked like the offspring of Ant and Dec!

Have you seen the Fifth Element?

Why should being camp be any barrier to being an evil genius and/or phsycopath? PLus, it's probably quite a good cover. Who's going to suspect the catastrophic harm he can do if they pass in the street (or meet briefly in a laboratory).

He is the semaphore to Sherlock's videocall.
He is the SUV to Sherlock's walking shoes.

I quite enjoyed it. The final scene did feel a bit strange but, other than that, it was great.

I've only just seen the Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes on DVD and, having never read the books, it was odd to see both Sherlocks complaining about boredom and shooting the walls.

House gets bored a lot too. It is a trait of being Sherlock.

I read that as 'the catastrophic ham he can do', and 'or meet briefly in a lavatory'... that's what happens when you're told someone's camp before you've seen the show

By the way, does anyone else wish Freeman would get a new set of mannerisms? They're the same for every character he's ever played :?

Yeah, noticed House MD's house number is 221b too.

I think that would have been a somewhat different show TBH.

I thought Moriarty was stuck in a virtual universe capsule floating around in deep space somewhere?

Watched episode three last night and thought the ending was a bit of a let down imo.
