Just started 'I Am Ozzy,' the autobiography of Ozzy Osbourne. It's quite funny and surprisingly detailed considering he comes across these days as partially brain-damaged.

You do have to assume most of that book was written by somebody else because there's no way in hell he can remember most of what went on for the last two decades.

My brother got me Lanark by Alasdair Grey. To say I'm struggling to care about the characters or get into the story would be an understatement. It's just not doing anything for me and I suspect it will be put to one side...

Pre-ordered the new Discworld book (Snuff) and the new Honor Harrington (A Beautiful Friendship). Looks like they both come out in October so that's going to be a bit of a dilemma over which one to read first.

That says so much about you. While it might be interesting from a historical perspective, getting a summarised version mint be better. I tried reading Das Kapital and it was hard work.

It is illegal to own it over here.

Just got Darknet through, the sequel to Daniel Suarez's Daemon. Both are a good read and many unexpected plot twists and, after reading the first one, you ask yourself who are the good guys and who will win out. I was a bit sceptical and didn't know whether I would enjoy it, but Leo Laporte and Andy Ihnatko had both recommended it, so I gave Daemon a try, after waiting to see it it would come out on Audible.

Still waiting for the invoice. I like ordering online with Thalia, they send the book, then send the invoice a few days later.

I one tried reading Pratchett (can't remember which) and really couldn't get into it.
A friend recommended me the Truckers, Diggers, and Wings children's trilogy and I'm loving it. I've got the first three books of discworld on order now too.

He (Pratchett) now does chapters, mostly. Might make it easier.

 3/4 of the way through Darknet already, in German... It is a great read.

Well, I finished Darknet yesterday morning. It is a brilliant read.

Oh, and I believe the English title is "Freedom(tm)".

About to start reading "Yes Man" by Danny Wallace.

Fantastic read, the film doesn't do it justice, have read it twice before, which leads me to an interesting question; do you read books more than once?

I do, if I find a book I like, I'll read it more than once, the same as I'd watch a film I like more than once.

Currently ploughing my way through Pratchetts 'Discworld' books :D I'm on 'Wyrd Sisters'

I'm in complete agreement with Mr Blue in that a book (and film) should be read (viewed) several times....... :D

A good book can be read many times. One of favourites "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" has been read countless times (well not countless but a lot!).
