All we need now is the master. There have been signs..........
Thought he may have been in the pandorical, then twigged that it was for the doctor.

Rarely are the words 'to be continued' so vexing.

That has been my running theory too. I could be wrong, but we do have one more episode to go.

One thing you can guarantee with Dr Who, if they paid Millennium Effects a wad to make a monster, they are goi g to use it more than once. It would not be value for the license payer otherwise. Thus, I am expecting Davros back.

When we heard the Dalek voice, I actually said out loud "ooh, I wonder if that's Davros".

Thought the last episode was interesting an definitely (hopefully) sets up a nice conclusion... although it seems like there may still be unanswered questions.
However reading around and rewatching some of the episodes, there seem to be some inconsistencies (or plot devices) which have yet to be explained.
There quite a lot of speculation about the next episode with regards to the Doctor possibly crossing his own time stream. The main point in question being in "Flesh and Stone" (the second Weeping Angels episode) whereby the Doctor reappears after leaving, however this time he has a watch, rolled up sleeves and his jacket (previously removed by the Angels).
However there are a few more inconsistencies:
- In "The Eleventh Hour" (opening episode) there is a shadowy figure that runs past the window, could have possibly been Prisoner Zero but unlikely since it wouldn't have had enough time to create the "Psychic Link" thing and gain human form (i assume).
- One thing i read and also noticed when rewatching the episode... the house is a two story house, yet has two flights of stairs... now the second flight could lead to the attic, but looking at the house from the outside, it either doesn't seem to have one, or at least shouldn't have one of that magnitude.
- When the Doctor brings the Atraxi back and asks whether or not the Planet is protected, images show of the aforementioned Dalek invasion (Time Lord Prison Ship - Daleks flying around the sky) which seems to imply that the events did actually occur. Maybe Amy doesn't remember them for another reason?
- At the end of the episode, you hear the Tardis sound as it reappears with a brief shot of the young Amy/Amelia looking up as if the Doctor did indeed return (before it then cuts to the actual point in time where Amy joins up with the Doctor). This implies that the Doctor may actually have returned for her (she reacted and smiled to something). This leads to the question of why she was so hostile etc. when he first came back since she implied he never came back. This culminates in the possibility (my theory) that she could have had her memories erased for a set period, i.e. when the Doctor returned, which could also answer why she couldn't remember the Daleks although it would be a rather long time span to the erase (seeing as iirc the Dalek invasion happened quite a few years later).
- In "Flesh and Stone", the episode is set chronologically after "The Pandorica Opens" with regards to River Song's timeline (she mentioned to the Doctor that she'd see him next when the Pandorica opened). However she also seemed surprised at the cracks in time etc. during the episode. Now whilst she could have been playing it dumb very well it just seems a bit strange. Also with the whole Tardis exploding thing being quite a major issue i'd have thought (end of the universe and all) she didn't even warn the Doctor once? at all? I guess there's the whole messing with time/history/spoilers etc. but you'd have thought it would have warranted a mention maybe.
- And as for the "well it's in the past for her" comments, so she should already know the outcome, the Doctor spends pretty much the whole of the episode repeating "History can be rewritten" which as the Doctor would say, there are only certain points in time which are fixed (i.e. the Water of Mars special etc.) whereas everything else is in flux and can be changed.
Anyhow, i'm probably just looking at things too deep here so i'll just leave it at that and just go sleep lol.

The Whoniverse is a confusing place to be, for sure. I doubt all questions will be properly answered by the end of the next episode. Mark

One question I have from the last episode... Since when do Cybermen say "You will be assimilated"? I thought they upgraded people.
Is it possibly beacuse the "Cyberthing", which I can't call a Cyberman because it didn't seem to have a human brain, as the skull fell out or the head case, was a "different type" of creature to the "normal" Cybermen?

We simply don't know, John. There was a lot of stuff happening in this last episode that seemed out of place in the Whoniverse, but given Steven Moffat's love of the show I can't imagine these things are just happening for the sheer hell of it. I'd be very surprised (and disappointed) if there wasn't an explanation in the next episode.

Hmm, do we actually expect the Beeb to worry too much over plot holes? It is not as if anyone takes Dr Who seriously now is it?
