Wow. For less than that you can get a Bahncard 100 in Germany, which allows you to travel on any train, buses, trams or underground in the country for no additional charge (only seat reservation costs extra). There is also a first class version, but that is about twice the price.

Is there no equivalent in the UK? (I used to travel maybe once a year with the train, when I was in the UK).

No, you can get a travelcard for your commute which sometimes entitles you to discounted rates on other trips, that's it.

Forest Hill man died after vibrator became stuck in his bottom

Quote:
A 50-year-old Forest Hill man died after a vibrator became stuck in his bottom and he was too embarrassed to see a doctor, an inquest heard today (August 12).

Nigel Willis could not remove the sex aid and spent five days lying on the sofa of the Dartmouth Road home he shared with his elderly mum. He was left dizzy, weak and unable to move, Southwark Coroners' Court heard. Surgeons managed to remove the vibrator, which had become stuck so deep in Mr Willis's rectum it had perforated his bowel.

So that's the sort of thing that makes news in our local paper....

That reads rather ominously.

Had enough of the current job or have occurrences occurred?

Latter leading to the former, things were meant to have changed months ago with massive issues in how work is done but are getting worse by the day
