My friend has sent me an MSN message. How do I pick this up? I signed in to Windows Live, but it says I don't have an inbox yet. How can someone send me a message to an inbox that doesn't exist?

So I actually have to create a hotmail account if I want to collect this message?

How can I create an account and have it tied to the Windows Live ID that I already have so I can get the message that's waiting for me?

Thank you for replying … When I sign in I get a page with a Hotmail (1) link at the top, but it tells me that I don't have an inbox. It then has a link for signing up to Windows Live Hotmail, but if I do that how will I get the message that's already waiting for me? This is retarded, it should have created the inbox for me to start with, but it doesn't appear to have done that, so I have to create one myself? Mark

If that is Hotmail it is because they demand that you accept cookies from everyone. Since I have cookies restricted to sites that I navigate to I use my second machine for hotmail. It is a complete pain in the bottom.

Right, on the PC using IE - I just signed in to Windows Live, followed the link and created the Hotmail account. It says I have no contacts and no messages waiting for me. This is really starting to [LIFTED] me off now. I just want to get the message that's there, waiting for me! Arrrggghhhh
