Clarkson, Hammond and May lured to Amazon by a $250 million budget. Over the course of a 36 ep season, that's roughly $6.9 million per episode. That is a heck of a lot of money for a motoring show to have. Mark

I think it was less of a remake and just more of a relocating to the US. From what I recall reading this version would have been sticking pretty close to the version Ch4 put out, thematically speaking. Mark
