Love that description, by the way. :D Penny knows where her tray is, and does use it extensively. Sadly, her problem seems to be she gets literally caught short and doesn't make it in time. :(

We've been trying to sort her out with diet, but she doesn't like it. She much prefers what Sophie is getting, and you have to stand over her to make sure she doesn't stick her pie hole in the wrong bowl. She'll happily sit there, looking expectantly at you as you work around her, even though there's a pile of her food freshly dished up. There's been a bit of success getting bowel movements under control, but it seems to be getting worse again. Another visit to the vet is in order, to see if there's anything that can be done beyond what we're already doing.

Oh, and morning all. *yawn*

Morning.

Feeling more human today. Penny managed to avoid performing her stunts until later in the night, so I got some much-needed kippage before it all kicked off.

And in other Penny-puss news, we went to the vet last night - as an aside, I wish it was that easy to get appointments at my GP: call up 2pm, phone answered quickly, and consultation at 5pm. I wanted a non-urgent GP appointment, and the only one I could get was a month ahead on a Saturday.

Anyway, the vet is doing some broad spectrum blood tests to see if they can see an underlying problem missed the last time. We were advised it may not be good news, which we kind of expected. If they don't find anything obvious, then they'll try an ultrasound.

Now, what was I doing on Tuesday I forgot to do yesterday because I was so tired?

Onwards and sideways.

Evening

Spent the day out in training today.

Nice product, not to see how much it costs

Morning all.

Actually woke up on the alarm today. Absolutely baltic outside. Wouldn't mind quite so much, but the Landy needs about 10 miles before it starts to warm up. And once there's enough temperature in the engine for the thermostat to open (thus giving me some warmth) it smokes like a mouldy cow on a bonfire every time I put my foot down. (Something tells me I should either play with the fuelling or get a turbocharger back on there before I get pulled for insane emissions.)

Hopefully the run into work today won't involve any crashes on the road out to Llanrhystud (seems to be one every two days atm) or any lorries trying to go over the top, where they actually manage to hold the traffic up more than me. Especially since the diseasil I put in the Landy is that much more efficient that even without an engine fan at all, I've only ever got the temperature up to the top of the cold mark, and driving slowly (~35 on the flat or crawling behind a lorry on a hill) means I quickly lose any temperature in the engine and, with that, my heater!

The joys of classic motoring... Oh well. TFIF.

Don't remember the last time I used an alarm clock to wake up. If I have to be up at 6:45 I always seem to wake up at that time.It must be a habit thing...

Good luck Hev, let us know how it goes :)

In other news, it appears that the old "Whatsapp is not free anymore" hoax is doing the rounds again. I've already had two messages from friends this morning alerting me to the fact, but I've put them straight. Thought you might be interested... if you use Whatsapp, that is.

I think that's all for now, so it's time for a cuppa, a cigar and then maybe some web design work...

Have a great day everyone.

:)

Morning,

Finally starting to feel like I'm on the mend (2 weeks after the op) now the infection is dealt with, all the wounds have closed up and started healing and I'm not having much pain, just a little twinge if I bend or twist wrong. Follow-up Doc appt is on Tuesday to see how things are going, fingers crossed for the go ahead to return to normal programming!!

ION, it's very cold out there and the standing water that has been around since the heavy rains of earlier in the week has frozen solid which is making me a little concerned about Red getting to work through all the little villages. I (fortunately) am staying in bed to keep warm while it's this cold and have a kitty warmer for company, a cup of tea and the prospect of a nice nap later to keep me going through the day.

Unfortunately I also have to wait for the middle of the afternoon (when it's above freezing) to do something about the Poultry water, I had to crack ice 1cm thick this morning to give them all a drink, but I know you can get stuff that you can put in the drinking water to prevent it from freezing without poisoning the birds, so I thought I might get some of that this weekend as well. I will also need some large marigolds that I can fit my running gloves inside of, if I'm going to spend the rest of the winter fishing sheets of ice out of the duck bath!

Good luck for today HK, hope it goes well.

Morning

It's Friday. Been nearly 2 weeks since I was at work. Feels like a lifetime. Back to normality on Monday.

So, it would appear the cold weather has set in.

TFI Friday.
