Not that accurate. In 92 they predicted a Hung parliament, but the Tories won.

It's essentially a toss-up between LibDem and Plaid Cymru here. Suspect LibDem are going to win it though. L3v1ck - Feel free to follow up the comment on Facebutte.

Hmm, David Dimblebubble thinks Thornby & Yate is in South Yorkshire. Stellar coverage by the BBC team.

^_^ I now feel spehshul. Also: IRC reliably informs me that Labour currently have 11 seats too many.

I'm a little staggered at the result so far. Unless, of course, people are playing a game. Mervyn King reportedly told someone “whoever wins this election will be out of power for a whole generation because of how tough the fiscal austerity will have to be."

Although things don't look good for the Conservatives yet, there are 533 seats in England and at the time of writing, only 40 have declared. No blue outside of England as yet. I have to say that I am more than a little surprised.
Edit. First blue in Wales three minutes later- just down the road from me.

The results are really rolling in now. It's quite surreal watching the web page update like that. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/election2010/results/It's hard to believe Labour are winning by such a large margin, despite such a small margin in the actual votes. Libs are not doing well by any measure; so far we've actually lost a seat despite maintaining the votes Most of those Labour seats are north of the border. Perhaps it's time for full Scottish Independence..? I think it's obvious that the Scots are trying to destroy us!

That's just because their seats are declaring first. Look at the number of seats lost/gained. A swing to the Tories, but not enough for an outright win.

Interesting point on seats vs share of the vote.
At the time of writing, Labour have 58 seats and Conservatives 43, but Labour have 1,610,520 and Conservatives 1,570,576 votes
