I cant use terrestrial Freeview because of the area I live, and I have the higher broadband and free TV as well as the landline. My biggest expense is the broadband.

Do you actually have a phone plugged into the land line? I know people that don't. The main problem for me with mobiles is how much it costs to ring them. Calls to fixed lines are free for most people, but calls to 3 cost more than a premium rate sex line so I only phone them in extreme emergencies and I always aim to keep the conversation under 5 seconds. Either that, or I use someone else's phone

I've been speaking to the carphone warehouse and one of my local store and they say they will only have 9 units which tallies with the chain being allocated 16,000 which at 800 stores works on average 20 per store.
Spoke to a guy from tesco who said they'd get 28 units and he hinted at the tariffs as they know them, he gave me a iPhone leaflet and was saying how they the previous version bumps out by the newer ones and prices are comparable to others. Seemed genuine.
I think I'll be one of those people waiting in line at o2 seems I have no way of getting to a local apple store. I've got the day off, do you think 2 hours is sad? I do but I've nothing planned and have never waited in on of these so called queues. It'll be an experience if nothing else. Maybe meet some new twitterers.

Not sure what I was planning on doing. I was going to go at opening time (8:30 am) to the Orange store. Maybe I should get there earlier? If the allocations are going to be at that level then I think queueing could be worth it? Maybe an hour? I could get there at 7:30 and see what the queue is like? In fact, there's a Costa next door so I could always sit and wait for the first person to show if there is no one there when I arrive.

Hmm... I'm going to visit them tomorrow to scope the place out see if I can guarantee a Phone for Thursday (maybe even set up the order and pay in advance, without officially pre-ordering).

Hmm... I may even get there at 6:30 just to be sure. I'll take a book along to read I suppose it depends how desperately I want the phone and I've been waiting for it for 6 months!

Having never actually owned an iPhone you could say I've been waiting for 4 years for this Although I could have upgraded to the iPhone 3GS in January I held off because I knew something was around the corner. 6 months later it is here and up to now I've been waiting extremely patiently. The patience is beginning to turn into excitement the closer I get to Thursday! I wouldn't be surprised if I don't make it through tomorrow with the anticipation!

I'm sure you'll be thrilled with it.
I've had the 3G since launch, and I still think it's brilliant.
I will probably get the 4 in a couple of months time though, for the extra battery life, nicer screen and multi-tasking.

With the news of shortages etc... I also think that if you don't get the iPhone 4 on Thursday morning that you'll struggle to get one before August.
I dunno why but I have a feeling.
