Went and saw the Avengers last night - great fun movie - no thinking required and lots of big effects

Afternoon all.

I wonder if I'll manage to get to the car park this evening without getting soaked (i.e. before the rather dark and foreboding clouds decide to empty themselves all over Cambridgeshire).

Pretty much what I thought.

Enjoy the rest of the day folks.

On holiday for a week. The garden needs a lot of work so I hope the weather improves after the bank holiday.

Have a great day folks

On holiday, on our way to Ireland. I have the hard job of teaching my son how to drink Guinness in Ireland. 8-)

Afternoon all,

I am currently installing Android 4.0.3 on my old HTC HD2, (which I gave to Brooke when I got the Galaxy Note)

Wish me luck!

Have a great day everyone.

:)

Looks like the weather folks got it right for once. It is indeed piddling down with rain.

Anywho, have a great day folks.

Evening all,

Yesterday's mission = success. HTC HD2 is now running Android 4. I just tried checking if the update for my Galaxy Note is available yet, using Kies. The good news is that it is, but the bad news is that my battery is not charged enough to install it. I've put it on charge, but I think the next hour or so is going to seem as long as the last 3 or 4 months.

In other news, I have managed not to attend the street party today, and have been catching up with some TV viewing. Anyone been watching the TV series Revenge? It's actually quite good, as far as American TV series go.

And on that note I shall say enjoy the rest of your day.

:)

The wife wanted to watch the Jubilee Concert; I didn't.

So I'm in the bedroom typing.

So... the reason I wasn't sleeping well seems to be that the curtains in my bedroom are too thin so let in lots of light. Not a problem in winter, a bit of an issue in spring and summer.
Last night I put a duvet cover over the window and got a stonking nights sleep. Looks like I'll have to keep that up for a while as I doubt the landlord is going to replace the curtains.

Anywho, enjoy the last day of the bank holidays folks.

Evening all,

The Galaxy Note is now running Android 4 and, aside from the face unlock thingy I can't really tell the difference. Major anti-climax.

In other news, having spent the last two days racking my brains, I think I've figured out how to fix the surround sound dilemma which I don't think I ever mentioned here, so that was... worth... typing...

Oh well, off to sunny Lincoln, or more specifically sunny Boston tomorrow, to visit the little brother and his family.

Bye for now.

:)

Morning all.

Back at work with only 250 emails to sort through.

Not too bad then.

I really must make an effort to do stuff otherwise I'll have taken a week off and just about managed to do the dishes from last week. Dirty!

Anywho, if the rain holds off a bit of gardening is in order, at least until the garden waste bin is crammed full again.

Have a great day folks.
