Have been up since 5.30 this AM. Only got back from work about 40 minutes ago. Am feeling slightly weird.

5.30 is normal in our house. I usually get woken up then but go back to sleep.
Why weird?

Too long a day and too much coffee I think :D

Looking at lenses on eBay for my preferred 35mm camera body, the Minolta X700.
The prices have gone through the roof over the last few years, I'm genuinely surprised that both bodies and lenses that I'd have picked up for £20-£30 are now triple that.
Also, slightly annoyed at it too.

[LIFTED] cancer. *sigh*
My oldest friend (and by that I mean the friend I have known the longest, not the actual oldest person I know that is also a friend) has just told me she has terminal stomach cancer.
Totally inoperable.
She's going to get chemotherapy for it, but that's it.
*sigh*

Mark

That's a tough break. Unfortunately, most of us are now of an age where we are going to hear this kind of news more and more. Until they figure out a cure for this disease, and the only thing you can do is be there for your friend.

it's very sad, but you can be there and make sure she has a comfortable time for as long as possible.

Sorry to hear about your friend Mark, it's a real nightmare, I hope she doesn't suffer too much. Does she know how long they estimate? Mind you, JJ knocked his diagnosis flat on it's back by living on for over a year (with decent quality) after they said he'd be gone.

I went out early this morning to check out a house that had been on rightmove for almost two weeks and then disappeared the day I wanted to ring the estate agents for a viewing. Couldnt remember the EA name so figured. I'd drive by. No luck. No boards.

So I arrive at the gym carpark early. It doesnt open until 8 but there are five other cars in the lot with people in them. WTF?

That was my first thought too, but then I've seen the local library workers arrive well early too.
