No, I don't want to drive 185 miles to Crewe to do an audit then drive back the same day

Damned bloody Samsung, the sodding gits!

We are using Elgato game capture HD to record videos of our apps on iPad, iPhone and Android... Surprisingly, the iPad / iPhone work perfectly. Okay, you need to fork out for a Lightning-HDMI adapter, but once you have that, you can make screen recordings of running apps. Only video content that explicitly needs protection is not visible (HDCP encryption).

The same goes for my Samsung Windows tablet, I can also send that through the GCHD and record the screen.

But on our Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy S4 Samsung have turned on HDCP permanently and there is no way to disable it, so there is no way to record video of OUR apps on those devices using the GCHD!

Luckily a colleague has an old Motorla Xoom and that doesn't do encryption, so we can use that for the recording, but that isn't an ideal or permanent solution.

Is it just me, or is Google returning ever more irrelevant search results?

Searching for "outlook 2011" exchange unknown error -17886

brings up mainly outlook 2007/2010 errors connecting to pop/smtp!

Searching for the error code alone ("error -17886") returns thousands of results, but none contain the error code!

No it's not just you, it doesn't matter how specific you are now it'll just give you what it thinks you want!

Similar to your search request, PSN error queries give you stuff from years ago even if you enter '2014' or '2014 forum' etc.

I am so sick and tired of this sodding lurgy.

I'm not even properly ill - I'm just utterly devoid of energy.

That said, I was a bit wonky earlier - colours and noises. Maybe I'll not drive then...

Bah! Just as I was going to sleep last night, the telephone rang. The aircon at work wasn't working and there was a heat warning in the server room.

The electrician had attached a new aircon unit in the second server room and hadn't checked the ones in the main server room had restarted, once he turned the power back on!

£3.46 needlessly spent on a Paypal surcharge because there was no warning of a surcharge and it doesn't give full details of your order, just the cost (I assumed it was the usual 'delivery cost to NI' bollocks)
