She doesn't need a tent if that's what you're implying.

I have to admit, I'm not big on this trend to have natural sciences programmes presented by 'star' presenters when there are perfectly good (and in fact very much better) specialist natural sciences presenters that could do the job. Why would I watch 'bloke who was a hobbit' wandering round the jungle?

I was joking. In fact if you are on the small size it can be hell for anyone to find clothes that fit.

I need to return two train tickets.
One isn't refundable, the other is.
The ticket that is refundable cost £39.
thetrainline.com want to take £10 of that price as a 'refund fee' and then issue me a refund of £29.
Which means of the total I've spent on tickets I can't use is £70.50, £29 of which I hope to see again.

Such fees are well in excess of the actual costs and really are a way of scalping the customer and should be illegal.

45000 tracks in iTunes and having to deal with the bizarre length of ring tones. Tough to make a 38 second ring tone from many tracks.

Yes but no really good candidate to attach it to. The Monty Python Song "Sit on My Face" has been assigned. ;)

I just realised I didn't get charged for petrol last weekend. I went up, filled to the brim, went into the shop and bought some stuff and paid for it all at the counter by card. The guy was showing someone how to operate the till and at one point had to cancel and redo the transaction. Just check bank balance to check whether work had paid in (they owe me back pay) and realised I'd only been charged the stuff I bought and not the petrol. Double checked the receipt which backs this up.

Not sure what I should do. If I keep schtum, I risk being found out and not able to use it (closest to work) plus possible prosecution. If I go and declare what happened, how will I know how much to pay (I recall roughly how much I used)?

If you have a rough idea go in and pay. In petrol stations it comes out of the cashiers wages in such circumstances. They might actually know the exact amount. If you go in then if the police are involved it will be in your favour. Worst case you could be charged with theft, by paying you eliminate any criminal intent.

You have to go in because it's the right thing to do. Karma and all that.

I would still do it anyway. It will be the cashier who suffers not the multinational oil company. The Karma is just a bonus. 8-)
