Just had an interesting conversation with a student, who asked me when I'm leaving my job!

When I told him that this was news to me he clammed up and said he "couldn't remember" where he had heard it. I mentioned this conversation to my boss, who was strangely silent on the matter...

Oh well. I suppose I should care, but I don't.

If someone could please explain where the week went I'd be most appreciative.
Still, at least Peterborough doesn't seem to have been washed away in the floods... yet. Mind you, if it was it would probably cause several million pounds worth of improvements.
Torch relay passing by the top of my street next week so it'll be interesting to see if I can get anywhere near it to take some photos.

Cooler today, so I'll possibly get something productive done with the sketchbook. And then it's the weekend!

Thank Crunchie it's Friday! It's been a long and very tired week, today I have to learn how to draw with PowerPoint before I can be free at 2pm to go for my swim. Looking forward to a nice lunch out with loved ones tomorrow, then a long sleep through as much of Sunday as possible!

It's frikkin lashing down at the moment. Does not bode well for the weekend.

ION, I've had to add someone else's stock takes to my month end tasks, due to holidays - Holy flippin sh!t, he hasn't got a clue what he's doing! I can't leave it like that - which means a shed load of work for me to do over the next week, to straighten things up for next month. I won't drop him in the crap, but I will be having a closed door session with him when he's back.

Back in Kingston after a week away at the coast.

Went on a 20 mile bike tour with the family yesterday. Lovely weather, a bit warm at times, but a great ride, finishing up at an ice-cream parlor in town, before the last KM or so back to the house.

Just finished changing the bed and vacuuming. Bed is broken. Found one of the rubber mounts holding the slats in place has broken, just where my hips lay. 2 of the slats are now missing. I'll have to see if I can order a new rubber mount, otherwise it will be a couple of hundred Euros for a new frame.
