My gran was admitted to hospital last night with a mini-stroke and acute renal failure. She's also been found to have thyroid cysts which could be malignant and throwing off clots, causing the ministroke. She's 82 and I'm not sure how long she's got to live - she really just wants to stay alive long enough to see me married or at least settled down.

Sorry to hear that. Having lost all my close family it's sometimes better to let them go rather than hang on and suffer.
