Why doesn't someone just go on Ask Jeeves on their iPhone in The Walking Dead? "is there any safe place or a cure yet?"

Anyway I thought this show had potential until they al started talking about their past in that American TV show way when they're trying to pad it out.

On a day when Paul McCartney is announced as a stand in for Kurt Cobain, it seems the rock gods are not without a sense of humour.

I still can't get my head around that.

It's the funniest thing I've read all month.

That the last two months have just been sh1t for me, and I'm wondering how much of it has to do with how the run-up to Xmas is affecting others... I'll be glad to see 2013 at this rate - and it had better be a fcuksight happier!

Xmas parties. Hate'em. TBH I hate dancing. Even when I used to go out as a student. Now I've found out that the one I signed up to (I don't recall doing it!) is this weekend. Quite a few staff aren't gonna be there. If I don't turn up, there had better be a damn good reason (one person has cancer and is turning up!). What might make it less painful is if the trainees turn up. Otherwise, like last year, I'll be the youngest there! And I'm 30!!!

I'd take the hint from the staff who won't be there - the notion that there will be a cold war or something because nobody was interested in a Xmas party is totally fake IME, and I'm talking 10 years of not going to them in two different locations

One is going away with family on holiday this weekend. Two had a recent bereavement in the family. Two aren't going to be there but I don't know why. Everyone else should be there and may bring their significant others along with them. I feel I have to go because of my rank within the workplace. Me not being there would reflect negatively on them (as in I didn't give two hoots about the staff) rather than being a reflection on just me. Difficult to explain but basically if I was just admin or something, it wouldn't matter. The fact that I'm a doctor and will be there means a lot more to the staff and given that I am going to have to work with them until at least Aug if not longer means I need to keep things sweet.

Yes, I'm hugely drunk.
However, I've a feeling that I need I to be at one with the concept of being the dude who's the runner up in life's great crap shoot.
