Morning all.

Must do gardening before the biting insects rise and make the bite situation I'm already in worse.
In other news just booked a hotel for my friends wedding so that's something to look forward to.

Have a great day folks

Morning all.

Crap sleep last night so I have a feeling I'm going to be grumpy

Good morning,

After a reasonably decent weekend, we're back to the wet stuff again. Ho-hum.

I'm feeling a little bit irritable this morning too, for no reason I can think of (which is even more irritating).

Morning.

Irritability is probably due to the weather having been so bad for so long. We simply haven't had anything like decent weather since about April, and it begins to get on the nerves.

I've strained my mousing wrist. I think it's something to do with the way I work with the big trackpad thing I have. I've strapped it up for now, and I'll look at reinstating a proper rodent for a time to see if it helps.

I also have a small amount of work to be doing today. Better than none at all, I guess.

Onwards and sideways.

Good Morning all

Had a good night at the Paul Simon Concert last night in Hyde Park – No rain but chilly. They had laid tons of wood chippings on the ground so it was not that muddy

Anyway back to the “real world” but think I will get an early night in tonight

Afternoon folks. Today I have been doing interviews, or 'illustrating the difference between what people put on their CV and what they actually know' as it has come to be known.

Nearly ran someone over this morning. She was walking across the car park as I was pulling out. I stopped, she stopped, and then waved me on. I start pulling away again and she walked in front of the car!? Silly bint.

I had a similar experience this morning. There's a left turn just before I arrive at my works car park, which is on a large junction with zebra crossings and traffic lights. The lights go red for traffic going left to right (and vice versa) and I then get a green light to turn left. This is obviously sensible. What isn't sensible is that about 50% of the time (and I mean that seriously, it happens about every other morning) people see the lights for the 'road across' go red and assume it's safe to cross the road, not bothering to check that the pedestrian lights are still red which of course they are, because I'm filtering round the corner. This morning I had a group of five Chinese students just saunter out into the road without once looking in my direction. They continued across the road at ambling pace - they weren't even going at normal walking pace - with me stuck there half way round the corner and a line of traffic behind me all having to brake hard. They didn't ever look to the right, not once. I had to 'make myself noticed' in the usual way, which I prefer not to do.

I was sat at the traffic lights fro a good 30 seconds with my indicator on. All they had to do was look and they'd see i was going to cross their path. But they couldn't be bothered. In the first few weeks of term when they've come from a country where the rules are different, I can kind of give people the benefit of the doubt. In July? After at least a year? No, they were just ignorant and reckless and, if I hadn't been aware that this kind of thing goes on at that particular junction, they'd probably have ended up in hospital.

Afternoon all.

Why is that equipment only starts playing up when you need it?

Grr. Anywho, at least it hasn't rained yet for a change.

Have a great day folks.

Evening all,

Had to replace the PSU on my HTPC system, so I treated myself to a Coolermaster Silent Pro M 700 W and it really is, (practically) silent.

ION, I now haz Raspberry Pi :D

That's all for now so until next time...

:)
