When Michael Buerk calls Tess Daly a pneumatic bird brain, does he mean she's full of hot air? Or that she's full of hot air and he'd like to help her with it?

I haven't checked my email since the Friday before last. Given the fact that I get around 400 emails a day, 200 of which are not caught by my spam filter, most of Wednesday morning is going to be taken up with working my way through them.

I'd forgotten about this... A foreign English ;) rang me at 10am today:

Him - Who's this?

Me - (groggy) Erm, who's this?

Him - Your phone rings me at half six every morning.

Me - Think you've the wrong number, mate.

Him - I checked it.

Me - Well sorry, but I can't help, it's not me.

Him - I need you to look into this!

Me - (laughing) OK, bye. *click*

Now, my alarm goes off at 6.40am, not that I told him that. But that's not half six, and I can't imagine it's dialling a number that's not even in my phone, so WTF?

Are we really such a bunch of arseholes these days that even on a brand new daytime quiz* we have to say that we're tough, 'in it to win it', and all that bollocks? You even see it in junior Apprentice... It's either that or the production teams are preying on the somewhat feeble-minded/easily manipulated

* Rory Bremner plays pass the parcel with added questions, on Four now.

50% free on my Sky+. Guess I watched a lot over the Xmas break.

Will soon be watching Dexter 6 which will free up even more space. I'm not going to panic lol

Are more women in their late 40s/early 50s getting IVF treatment? Apparently a Chief Inspector was when she gave her brief statement when accused of cash for story leaks...

IMO you should have to pay for your own IVF if you've left it until your 40's/50's to try to have children.
