50-2=48
48x4=192
9-7=2

Bit of a fail today I think. The first thing that popped into my head on seeing it was 'dalek'. And the continuing trend for the numbers game to be too easy..

Ah, now, yes, HD! I know I said I'd be doing it. I was going on the assumption that when you order something with 'next day delivery', it turns up the next day. Haha, No. Obviously, what 'Next Day delivery' means is 'we sit on our arses for the best part of week before dispatching the thing, at which point it will be with you the day after'. So, at some indeterminate point in the future somewhat more than one day after Elgato pull their finger out of their proverbial cornholes and actually dispatch to me the item I ordered from them on Monday, we'll get HD. Never again will I make a joke about Germans being 'efficient', because this lot plainly couldn't work up a sweat if you fed them Arctic Moose Vindaloo until it came out their ears.

In the meantime, a test. Obviously, posting HD pics to the forum is going to be horrible, so I'm going to have to start using thumbnails. And I just happen to have a rather large picture of the lovely Rachel that I can use to test the way I think that should work.

Oh I quite agree that thinks should indeed work in that way.

As for the numbers, are they [LIFTED] serious?! People are supposed to be super clever on this show. Sort it out FFS!

Just for the sake of completion:

100 x 4 + 8 +6

Or 100 x 4 + ((8-6)*7) indeed.

Zippy dress again today, although the tights are.. err... interesting..
And, for a change, a numbers game that's not entirely trivial (although it only takes a bit of thought, to be fair).

9-4 = 5
5x100 = 500
2+3=5
5x6=30
30+500=530

Yay me. Took me probably a minute though, so I would've failed on the show.

Not a huge fan of that dress though.

Hold on though; these extra shots from today's Countdown show that Rachel's clothing was more interesting than you might think. It's good to see the producers of Countdown know just who and what the viewers are tuning in for. That is a slinky LBD and no mistake. :) ;)

What's with the change from patterned to plain tights?
