An interesting little clip of backstory that never made the episode The Name of The Doctor concerning the Whispermen and Clarance.

Wow. Now that's the kind of Who I'd like to see.

Absobloodylutely. We won't though. The BBC's remit for Who now is not for sofas to become safe harbours any more. This kind if thing could have made it into Torchwood if RTD's agenda could have been kicked into the long grass.

We really need a grown up scifi series, hence my Quatermass comment.

Four years in the role, feels shorter.
So bye-bye 11th, hello 12th and penultimate.

Yeah, like they're going to stick to that rule if it's still pulling the viewers in when it comes to it.

In SJA he gave a far higher number for the regeneration count. I'm sure we'll see a Doctor Mark XIV

Didn't the Master run out regenerations (apparently in The Deadly Assassin) previously? He's been able to regenerate since then and IIRC the tenth doctor certainly implied that regeneration was a matter of will (when John Simms master chose not to regenerate and die instead).

I'm not wanting to enter the speculating game, but a couple of names I've read about are Jason Statham (which would make for either a very different type of Doctor or a very big career departure for him) and, perhaps more likely, Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The calls for a female Doctor are also making themselves heard once again.
I'm really not that bothered who plays the character *shrug*

Mark

Will that mean he will bring Rosie along as his companion?
