Know she isn't a net fan but is there any texts or articles relating to her work (for example) you could put on it?

Problem isn't that it is tech, problems are:
1) It cost money
2) I paid for it
3) I didn't ask her
4) Where do I expect her to find the money to pay for it? (I don't, it was a gift)

There are a couple of Krimis (crime novels) on it, which is her favorite, as well as a Schmolzer (love story), so not lacking in content, just the wrong "present" at the wrong time.

I'm nearly halfway through Walter Isaacson's bio of Steve Jobs. Although I've read much of this stuff before in other books about Apple, I'm always surprised that no-one at Apple smashed Jobs' head in with a hammer during the early 80's.

edited for accuracy
Jobs a man best described by Terry Pratchett (though he was describing the Patrician) as "one man one vote. he's the man and he has the vote."

So far so good, moves at a fair old pace. Haven't seen the series, but it reads like a screenplay, so...

Currently reading

'Future Science : Essays From The Cutting Edge' edited by Max Brockman.

Next in the pipeline

'Decoding Reality : The Universe As Quantum Information' by Vlatko Vedral

I don't read much fiction, although I've been persuaded to finally add 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' to the pile...

Reading News from Gardenia at the moment, a bloomin' good read, if a little odd. I can hear Robert Llewelyn's voice in my head as I am reading.

The Hunter, Richard Stark. It's a Parker novel (there's been many versions of it down the years in many forms, but you've probably seen it as Payback with Mel Gibson).

I read that recently... good book but I do agree with you.

I don't want to spoil the ending but...

I'm thinking of alternating between the Parker and Inspector Montalbano novels until they're done or I get sick of them :) , nearly finished The Hunter (both sets of books seem to have short stories).

Other than that, I'm reading The Week, Batman Legends, Comic Heroes, Classic Rock and God knows what else
