Yesterday, I scanned my entire contract and forwarded it to the BMA or at least tried to. The site kept crashing. Didn't think too much about it until I just tried upload to google docs. Too large! Looked at the PDF created by the scanner and it was 85MB!!! Realised I'd scanned it at 600dpi. Tried to use OCR but it still had loads of flaws and ended up with images. The resulting file was 125MB. So had to rescan the docs at 300dpi which produced a lovely 9MB PDF file. Funnily enough, the BMA website did not crash when I tried to submit the PDF!

Just had a couple of weird dreams.
The first involved me going to a nightclub (which was in reality nothing more than a room with black paint everywhere, low lights, music and a bar painted in matt black pInt). Met a few friends (people I know IRL). I then go to have a drink but realise I'm teetotal so I don't have one. I then head to the toilet and it's like a large room with a toilet in one corner. No sinks or anything else. Anyway it's daytime and the room belongs to some kind of hall and I'm there to pick my mother up.

The second dream involves me going to a conference at a university. I'm at a train station and trying to work out which train to take. Given that i drive everywhere I find the trains more difficult to negotiate. There's a little old lady who needs help in knowing which train to catch. I work out that she's going to the same place as me and that the journey involves hopping off at the next stop which is a lot simpler than I thought it would be. A young woman turns up, dark haired, pretty but with a stern streak to her. I don't recall much other than we all get on the train. She obviously seems to know where we're going and knows the conference place which is at a hospital (I think). When we arrive and are walking down the corridor, I'm led to believe she's evil/bad and is trying to mislead us. She is obviously some kind of demon in disguise.

The third dream involves me turning up to a house for a viewing. An old school friend turns up unexectedly and it turns out that we are both viewing (dunno if it's to buy, rent etc or if friend is a housemate or a rigal buyer but he's my best friend from uni). The estate agen turns up and it's Matthew Perry. We go in and have a look around. Most of the house is empty including bare floors. I open a door and it's a toilet. Inside I think is a dead body and it may have been hanging. I suspect it was the estate agent and that he's a vampire and we may be the next victims. I go to find him and just have a chat but point out there's something on his face. I move two fingers towards it so it looks like I'm wiping it away but I place my fingers on his carotid pulse and find out he has no pulse and his skin is cold.

Typing all this to see what i remember in the morning.

Did every dream involve a toilet? I suspect you needed a [LIFTED]. ;)

I don't charge for this dream analysis, but your next session's going to cost ya.

Just the first and the third. I didn't need the toilet when I woke up.

After those dreams, I didn't fall asleep till 540am. The dream I remember having that was weirder. We (general population) were all on a spaceship. There was a problem with running out of juice. The lifesupport systems were the only things left running and if there was a problem with that, we were all fudged.

I decided to wire up some batteries. It was a suicide mission because once it all worked, the resulting spark would be enough to kill anyone nearby. Everyone stood there with baited breath. There were maybe 100 people in front of me and I asked those who has speakers to bring me their speaker wires, which is what i would use. I then went into the room to wire up what looked like large car batteries with the speaker wire in series to power the spaceship. No idea if succeeded or not as the alarm went off!

You don't want my opinions on the others ;) , but haven't you been tinkering with electronics at work? Didn't overload the extension or something did ya? ;)

Meh. I thought I had a simple cold. Got home, had some toast and water and just went to bed around 8pm. Immediately fell asleep but have been waking up every 15-30 mins at times yet it feels like I'd slept for hours. It's past midnight but I feel like it's time to get up for work.

On top of that, my dreams have been weird and I've been looking after two patients and I think they have different. Ersions of the same disease - one trivial and one more serious/complex. The problem is that everyone's been treating them the wrong way and at one point I end up getting involved and think I have the disease.

So now plan to stay awake for a few hours.

think I drank a little too much pepsi max earlier. In the meantime, have been reading up on Joomla. I think I can get it to work to do what I need.

Another day, another unproductive night shift. Five shifts and operationally the rig had done jack.
