So I deactivate my account only to have Twitter reactivate it, apparently, and tell me there's been another suspicious login attempt... Fcuktards.

Two cockpunches to be administered. The first is to the local council for taking in excess of 8 weeks to do the local searches required for a house purchase (the norm is 2-3 days from what I can gather). It's not just us, they've had a massive backlog for ages and apparently still only have one poor sod actually doing them.
A second one to be administered to our buyer for trying right at the last minute to renegotiate on the price of the house right at the last minute. [LIFTED] useless pig eyed sack of [LIFTED]. If he tries to take the piss with the amount he may find himself bitterly disappointed.

Geocaching:
15 year old European students on school trips have strategically hidden bits of litter in this area, use your GPS enabled smartphone to take a break from your bike ride in the countryside to go and find out where! And then leave it.

Why is it your phone rarely rings and the one time it does you've got headphones in?

Until recently I'd have probably agreed (taxis, appointments...).

Spotify really needs to stop substituting tracks with remixes, even if they are official. It's especially jarring when you're listening to an album.

Tried making an appointment with my GP - next available slot is in September. Or I can pitch up at 8am tomorrow and try my luck. Grrrr.

I don't know if we're lucky over here (we maybe have more local services as a result of being such a small, divided country), but I'm always surprised at how long appointments can take on the mainland. We can get an appointment the next week at the latest with our GPs, short of Xmas or something.

Have a chat with your MP. They should do something about this. TBH the Bank Holiday is gonna interfere with things. I've just had a look and the next routine slot with me is 1st Sept too. But we guarantee on the day appointment if you contact us between 0830 and 0900. We're also launching online booking soon which might help. Problems are generally down to: - not enough GPs - too many people who want to see their GP for trivial things - chronic disease management - huge number of patients who need regular monitoring for say diabetes. This would have been done solely by the hospital in the past and has now been handed to GPs with much less in the way of resources. - people booked in for follow ups. EG I see a patient and find an abnormal result in their blood test. They then need to come back to have a chat about it.
